It was rumored that Antonio Banderas and his wife of 15 years Melanie Griffith were on the brink of divorce because of his penchant for other poonanny (see him checking out another chick on the red carpet above), but sources close to the couple claim they’re just as in love as they ever were and it’s all lies. People magazine says:
Despite persistent Internet buzz that Banderas, 51, and Griffith, 54, are fighting to save their marriage, two sources maintain all is well with the couple of 15 years.
Rumors flew starting this spring, when Banderas, in Cancun to promote a new hotel, was photographed seemingly getting cozy with a blonde at a nightclub. Video has also surfaced of him dancing with actress Mallika Sherawat during a Cannes Film Festival party this year.
Banderas “is in Budapest filming and they’ll be together again as soon as he’s done,” says another source close to the couple. “They really are very happy together.”
If you ever wanted to know what Melanie Griffith’s wax statue would look like if you dragged it backwards through a bush and then left it on the dashboard of a car on a hot day, wonder no more. The years and booze and South American plastic surgeons have not been kind.
